El Instituto Sonorense de Cultura (ISC), celebrará del 20 de septiembre al 20 de octubre el Festival estatal de la imagen FotoSonora 2018, con un programa que constará de 46 actividades en Álamos, Cajeme, Guaymas, Hermosillo, Navojoa y Nogales; además, se rendirá homenaje al fotógrafo Guillermo Moreno Egurrola.
El Director General del ISC, Mario Welfo Álvarez Beltrán, explicó que esta edición busca reconocer la amplia trayectoria del fotógrafo Memo Moreno, al cumplir 63 años de trabajo profesional, incluidos 36 años como maestro de los cursos de fotografía de la Casa de la Cultura de Sonora.
“Atendiendo al cariño que se le tiene en esta Institución, al cariño que le tiene la comunidad misma y sobre todo por el justo reconocimiento que se merece, le rendiremos homenaje en uno de los grandes eventos que tenemos en Sonora”, enfatizó.
Por su parte, Memo Moreno agradeció la distinción y recordó anécdotas ocurridas a lo largo de décadas ejerciendo el oficio de la fotografía y en víspera de su jubilación como maestro de la Casa de la Cultura.
“Estoy profundamente agradecido primero por la facilidad que me dieron para impartir mis cursos, la libertad que me dieron, lo hicimos con mucho gusto y con mucha libertad, son 36 años, desde el 82 a la fecha, no recuerdo haber faltado un solo día a una clase”, indicó.
Las actividades de FotoSonora 2018 iniciarán el jueves 20 de septiembre a las 20:00 horas en la Galería Eusebio Francisco Kino en la Casa de la Cultura, con la exposición «Arrullo para otros», de Patricia Aridjis, y la premiación del Concurso Estatal de Fotografía Fotoseptiembre 2018.
En esta edición, los premios se duplicaron de 50 a 100 mil pesos con dos convocatorias: Concurso de Cartel, ganado por Jorge Esteban Moreno y el Concurso Estatal de Fotografía que se divide en tres categorías: Exposición fotográfica; Obra fotográfica y Fotografía digital.
FotoSonora 2018 se realizará en 25 foros con exposiciones, talleres, conferencias, charlas, presentación de libros y mesas de análisis para todo público. El programa se puede consultar en el sitio web www.isc.gob.mx y a través de las redes sociales del ISC y Artes Visuales ISC.
En la rueda de prensa para dar a conocer el programa de FotoSonora 2018 estuvieron presentes Marianna González Gastélum, Coordinadora General de Artes y Alina Martínez Ceballos, Coordinadora de Artes Visuales.
