AMLO: ¿regresó el candidato?

La economía mexicana no está en bancarrota, como bien lo sabe y lo ha dicho el propio López Obrador.

La afirmación anterior viene a cuento por lo dicho por AMLO en el sentido de que “el país lleva 30 años de bancarrota”, cuando el domingo arrancó en Tepic su gira de agradecimiento.

Tan no es esa la opinión que ha sostenido AMLO, que en una participación que tuvo ante los empresarios agrupados en Caintra, en Monterrey, el pasado 4 de septiembre, dijo lo siguiente:

“Hay problemas, es público, es notorio. Pero también se ha logrado que la transición se esté dando en armonía, con estabilidad, no hay crisis política. No tenemos una crisis financiera, no nos está pasando lo que está sucediendo en Argentina”.

En declaraciones como la realizada en Monterrey, apareció como presidente electo. Pero en las de Tepic, al volver a la plaza pública, los templetes y las porras, entró en escena de nueva cuenta el candidato.

Después de lo dicho, le han llovido las críticas de todos los sectores.

Sin embargo, si se lee el discurso completo, pueden encontrarse las referencias que quería dar AMLO.

Alude a la producción de petróleo. El reporte más reciente indica que se producen actualmente en México 1.84 millones de barriles al día. La última ocasión que nuestro país produjo ese volumen fue por allí en 1980, hace 38 años.

Otra variable que tiene también niveles sin precedente es la que refleja la violencia. El número de muertes violentas por día ha rebasado todos los registros que se tienen documentados.

También aludió al número de pobres. De acuerdo con el Coneval, en su más reciente cálculo, hay 53.4 millones, una cifra que es menor en 900 mil personas a la que se tenía en 2014, pero que, efectivamente, supera los 49.5 millones de 2008, cuando empezó a usarse la actual metodología de medición.

Lo peor es que en medio de las frases tronantes, se perdió el foco al compromiso reiterado de prudencia fiscal. AMLO insistió en que su gobierno no gastará más allá de lo que los ingresos de la hacienda pública permitan.

Quizás por esta razón, AMLO también dijo en su discurso que probablemente no podría cumplir con todo lo que se le ha demandado, sino sólo con aquello que ha ofrecido.

También repitió, como lo ha hecho en diversas ocasiones, que será respetuoso de la autonomía del Banco de México… pero agregó que si algo salía mal, habría que voltear hacia el exterior o a las políticas del Banco Central, y no al gobierno.

Es decir, se trató de un discurso que hubiera sido positivo para los inversionistas y los mercados, si no hubiera tenido ese tono de crítica generalizada y sin fundamento respecto a la situación económica y financiera del país.

Ayer, aparecieron voces por aquí y por allá, que cuestionaron con toda justeza el juicio tajante de AMLO.

Ni un bajo crecimiento económico –como sin duda lo hemos tenido– es un desastre, ni tampoco el nivel de la deuda pública –que creció en esta administración– equivalen a una bancarrota del país.

Ojalá que en esta gira que está realizando AMLO por el país y que hoy lo va a llevar a Guadalajara, quien hable sea el presidente electo, que arrasó en las elecciones, y que ha demostrado en diferentes ocasiones, ponderación y serenidad.

No convendría al país escuchar nuevamente al candidato, que hace juicios sumarios y al que encienden los vítores y las masas.
