Rodolfo Trampe Taubert, es el candidato para presidir la OIC.
La OIC, es una Organización intergubernamental que tiene como objetivo fortalecer el sector cafetero mundial y promover su expansión sostenible en un entorno que beneficie a todos los participantes. A ella están afiliados 50 países, 42 son exportadores y 8 son importadores. México forma parte del primer grupo.
El café es la materia prima agrícola más comercializada en el mundo, hoy en día, más de 80 países lo cultivan y lo exportan en sus diferentes tipos. Por ello, con 30 años de experiencia en el sector cafetalero, el Chiapaneco, Trampe Taubert, anunció oficialmente su postulación para ocupar el puesto de Director Ejecutivo de la OIC, durante el período 2017-2021.
Trampe Taubert, al representar a México en esa Dirección, contribuiría en el fortalecimiento del organismo, justo en un momento donde productores y consumidores enfrentan retos comerciales importantes, ante un clima internacional cambiante en materia agroalimentaria.
Actualmente, México se coloca como el sexto productor mundial, donde destacan Chiapas, Guerrearo, Oaxaca, Hidalgo, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz y Puebla como importantes productores.
