HERMOSILLO, Son.- Claudia Pavlovich Arellano, gobernadora de Sonora será reconocida como “La Mujer del Año 2017”, un premio instituido desde 1960 y que reconoce la trayectoria, empuje y compromiso de una representante del sexo femenino y que conjunta a las mujeres más influyentes del país.
Kena Moreno, presidenta del Patronato Nacional que organiza esa premiación, lo anunció este lunes en el marco de una reunión del Consejo de Integración Juvenil de Sonora, y aseguró que fue el comité seleccionador el que llegó por unanimidad a la conclusión de que la mandataria sonorense, quien actualmente es la única mujer gobernante en el país, quien se hará acreedora a ese reconocimiento con ello a una presea elaborada por la casa joyera Tiffany & Co de Nueva York, junto con un anillo de brillantes, llamado “Celebration”.
“Comparto con ustedes una noticia, el patronato nacional de la mujer del año, que desde hace 57 años elige a una mujer que realice una labor de beneficio en su comunidad, ha decidido rendir homenaje a la gobernadora Claudia Pavlovich”, resaltó la señora Moreno.

Otras de las 56 mujeres que han recibido esa presea a lo largo de la historia, son Silvia Pinal, María de los Ángeles Moreno, Yoloxóchtil Bustamente (directora del Instituto Politécnico Nacional), la ex magistrada Olga Sánchez Cordero, Ifigenia Martínez, Mía del Carmén Alanís y la misma Kena Moreno.
El reconocimiento le será entregado a la jefa del gobierno estatal por su trayectoria política y por sus aportaciones en el lucha de la igualdad de género y el empoderamiento de las mujeres.
Al respecto la mandataria se dijo honrada y muy orgullosa de ser objeto de semejante galardón, y aunque dijo que en su familia son reacias a recibir ese tipo de premios y reconocimientos, dijo que lo aceptará con orgullo.
