El diputado Rodolfo Lizárraga Arellano presentará una iniciativa en defensa de los trabajadores de la salud y los más afectados por el incumplimiento de la Ley y medidas tomadas para evitar la propagación del COVID-19. 

En la próxima sesión del Congreso del Estado, el legislador del Partido del Trabajo propondrá una reforma al Código Penal del Estado con la intención de modificar las penas cuando se cometa un delito contra servidores públicos que incluye a los trabajadores del servicio de salud y en el supuesto de que en el delito se usen arma de fuego, explosivo o cualquiera de las armas prohibidas previstas en el Artículo 140 del  Código Penal, se triplique  si se usan en contra trabajadores del sector salud. 

La propuesta del diputado es para que la sanción se incremente de 1 a 6 años de prisión y multa de 100 a 300 UMA.

La reglamentación actual establece que se impondrá una sanción de hasta 3 años de prisión y una multa de hasta 150 Unidad de Medida y Actualización en contra de aquel que violente a un servidor público y que se triplica cuando se trate de un elemento de corporación policiaca. 

“A nombre de todos los trabajadores de la salud les pido solidaridad, empatía, amistad para ellas y ellos que hacen su mayor esfuerzo, están poniendo en riesgo su vida y la de sus familias y que con entrega, estarán allí para atender al pueblo sonorense”, comentó. 

Actualmente, el Colegio Sonorense de Enfermeras A.C. denunció que al menos cuatro agresiones verbales o situaciones de discriminación son informadas diariamente a esta agrupación. 

Además, en la iniciativa el diputado local también presentará un exhorto dirigido a la Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor (Profeco) y la Secretaria del Trabajo y Previsión Social (STPS) para que intensifiquen sus verificaciones para evitar el incumplimiento de la Ley, especialmente por el incremento de los precios de la canasta básica y porque existe registro de patrones que no han suspendido labores o bien, no pagan el sueldo completo a sus trabajadores.
