Hermosillo, Son.- Entre Sonora y Arizona existe una relación que va más allá de los negocios y que implica a familias y cultura de ambos estados, lo que la convierte en una relación modelo para la frontera de Estados Unidos y México, expresó Jessica Pacheco Presidenta de la Arizona – México Commission (AMC) y Ejecutiva de Asuntos Estatales y Locales y Servicio Público de Arizona (APS).

Teniendo como anfitrión al Presidente de la Comisión Sonora – Arizona, Angel Bours, Jessica Pacheco, Presidenta de la Arizona – México Commission, encabeza una misión de empresarios de Arizona que acudieron a Hermosillo a fin de continuar estrechando relaciones con empresarios sonorenses, para lo cual se realizó un encuentro que coordinó en la parte local el Secretario de Economía, Jorge Vidal Ahumada.

Jessica Pacheco destacó durante la reunión que para el Gobernador de Arizona, Doug Ducey, la relación con Sonora es muy importante ya que trasciende lo económico, familiar y cultural, y liga a ambas entidades de manera inseparable, por lo que es sustancial que ambos estados tengan acercamientos y coordinen acciones.

“Yo creo que nuestros gobernadores tiene una relación modelo que debe de existir entre todos los gobiernos de los estados fronterizos; honestamente son amigos, analizan temas importantes e instruyen a sus gabinetes a compartir ideas que fortalezcan los lazos entre Sonora y Arizona”, dijo.

La Presidenta AMC, subrayó que este modelo de trabajo es ejemplo a seguir y debe ser aplicado en otros estados fronterizos ya que al igual que Sonora y Arizona, el resto del norte de México y el sur de Estados Unidos comparten dinámicas potencialmente benéficas para ambos lados.

Jessica Pacheco advirtió que de seguir con reuniones de trabajo entre directivos de ambos países se avizora un fortalecimiento y crecimiento en las relaciones de la Megarregión Sonora-Arizona en los próximos años.
