Desde “La Perla del Desierto”, en tierra de los tohono o´otham, Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller, presidenta de la Coordinación Nacional de la Memoria Histórica y Cultural, en su participación durante el Primer Foro de Archivos Históricos de Sonora “La memoria de los pueblos”, pidió no olvidar las raíces, la historia de las familias, pueblos y personas e instó a proteger todos los acervos patrimoniales de los archivos del país.

En la ceremonia de inauguración Gutiérrez Müller dijo que la Ley General de Archivos se encuentra vigente desde abril de este año, e invitó a que todos los acervos patrimoniales de los archivos del país sean cuidados y protegidos, ya que esta ley es aplicable.

“ Yo estoy segura que la gobernadora Claudia Pavlovich va hacerla valer, y aunque el archivo sea modesto y pequeño, darle y brindarle las mejores condiciones para que estos documentos, pinturas, cartas, testimonios, de la historia de su pueblo y de su estado, y de su país estén bien preservados, para que cuando llegue la amnesia —que luego aparece—, nos servirá para que constatemos que hemos sido un país digno, un país libre, un país independiente, un país inteligente, un país revolucionado y revolucionario”, enfatizó.

Mencionó que los pueblos originarios —cuando ni siquiera el mundo estaba divido como hoy en la geografía del estado de Sonora, o aún el país que se ha denominado como México, o que los españoles denominaron como México—, ya se encontraban aquí, así como sus ancestros, y que han resistido, pues una característica de los pueblos originarios es la resistencia, pero no una resistencia pasiva, quieta calladita, muda, sino una resistencia activa, protegiendo y cuidándose. 

“Porque la resistencia es lo que les ha permitido sobrevivir, y en el siglo XXI seguimos enseñando que lo mejor de vida está en las cosas sencillas, por tanto los pueblos originarios de este país y de esta región en particular de Sonora, tienen y tendrán de mi parte todo el respeto”, dijo.

Comentó que el foro puede aparentar muy sofisticado, docto y de grandes maestros y especialistas en el cuidado de los papeles viejos, pero que lamentablemente se quedan pequeños frente a la gran calidad y preservación que han tenido los pueblos indígenas, quienes sin necesidad de saber sobre catalografía, archivística  y preservación de patrimonio cultural, han transcendido con su cultura e historia.

“Aquí convergen especialistas con personas que por siglos han cuidado su patrimonio y su cultura, su lengua, su vestir, y todo lo que ha configurado como pueblo originario a la fecha, y son quienes nos van a enseñar a nosotros… nosotros —dijo— debemos de aprender de ustedes, los académicos, me incluyo en este momento, porque en efecto lo soy… debemos de tomar el ejemplo, que ustedes nos dan”. 

Puntualizó que en este Primer Foro de los Archivos de Sonora, se debe tomar en cuenta la enseñanza de los grupos originarios de la región, que comparten territorio y país con Estados Unidos, puesto que, son una nación de mexicanos y estadounidenses que como la Tribu Yaqui, también son una nación, e instó a aprender de ellos.

Invitó a no olvidar los orígenes, y advirtió que un país o un pueblo que olvida es muy probable que repita lo que ya le pasó. 

“Yo no quisiera que México pudiera —ni siquiera por asomo—, ser invadido nuevamente ni por filibusteros, ni por piratas, ni por ningún ejército extranjero (…) debemos sentirnos orgullosos de nuestro país, de su historia, de su soberanía, de su independencia, de los orígenes indígenas de esta nación”, señaló.

Dijo que hay países nuevos y que México es un país viejo, pero que lamentablemente sus enormes riquezas han sido sistemáticamente saqueados.
