Sonora y Arizona dieron en el clavo al lanzar el nuevo concepto de la MEGARREGIÓN, para trabajar en conjunto y atraer beneficios para los ciudadanos que viven en estos estados.

Como primer éxito señalaron en días pasados los gobernadores Ducey y Pavlovich, la instalación de la firma automotriz Lucid Motors en Casa Grande, Arizona. Se trata de una inversión de 700 millones de dólares para instalar una planta que producirá automóviles eléctricos de lujo, y Sonora participa de manera estratégica como proveedor, pues es ya de todos conocidos que una de las fortalezas que se tiene en el estado se encuentra en el sector automotriz.

Lucid Motors es una empresa originaria de Silicon Valley, la cual generará 2 mil empleos directos en Arizona, la construcción de la planta iniciará en el 2017, para ensamblar automóviles en el 2018 y completar el proyecto en el 2022.

El anuncio de la instalación de la planta de Lucid Motors, llega tan solo a 20 días después de las elecciones realizadas en Estados Unidos, donde la victoria fue para el candidato republicano Donald Trump, quien lejos de ser un aliado para México, ha lanzado amenazas a las empresas de su país; en el sentido de incrementar los impuestos si llegaran a instalar plantas industriales fuera de Estados Unidos.

La postura de Donald Trump, pone en alerta al sector empresarial de México y con ello se estudian propuestas para enfrentar las nuevas políticas de comercio entre ambos países. Sonora y Arizona se adelantan en un modelo denominado “Megarregión”, el cual denominaron como innovador y el camino a seguir para hacer frente a los nuevos tiempos que se avecinan con el efecto Trump.

En la cumbre Sonora-Arizona coincidieron personajes de la vida política y empresarial que el destacar las bondades de una región y darse a conocer como tal, es parte fundamental para salir adelante y analizar tanto las fortalezas como las debilidades, hace que realmente se plasmen metas concretas y reales.

La formula presentada por Sonora y Arizona es: trabajo en conjunto, para generar resultados.
