Los desacuerdos del Instituto han sido constantes desde el año 2014, siendo en muchas ocasiones evidente el afán de algunos consejeros de apoyar a los partidos políticos del PRI y PAN, dejando de lado la imparcialidad con que deben regir su actuar.
Rechazamos la falta de respeto a las garantías laborales a las cuales tienen derecho los trabajadores, pese a que el despido de colaboradores de confianza, en este caso del Instituto Electoral, sea una práctica recurrente en el año posterior a una elección, como es el caso actual en la que se notificó a 40 empleados la recisión de su contrato. Estamos a favor del servicio profesional de carrera y en contra del despido masivo e injustificado de los trabajadores.

Para nadie es ajeno que ésta situación es el resultado de una disputa por el control del Instituto, por quienes en su carácter de consejeros deberían de garantizar el desarrollo de elecciones en un clima de tranquilidad, cumpliendo con los principios de legalidad, certeza e imparcialidad.
Nos reiteramos en contra del despido de funcionarios de éste organismo más que un plan de austeridad, corresponda a una pugna por el control de las direcciones y puestos clave del IEE.
La renuncia de la consejera Claudia Ruíz Reséndez, no es un tema menor, ello pone en evidencia la gravedad del conflicto interno que existe y la falta total de consensos en el máximo órgano electoral del Sonora. Las acciones ejercidas por el grupo de cuatro consejeros, sugieren ser parte de una estrategia que tiene como finalidad colocar a nuevos funcionarios en posiciones claves y de esa forma incidir en el desarrollo del próximo proceso electoral.
