El dirigente morenista dijo que ya desde el 20 de agosto se dio a conocer la convocatoria para renovar la estructura del Consejo Estatal y del Comité Directivo Estatal de Morena y que será para el 20 de noviembre cuando se elija al nuevo dirigente de entre 70 consejeros estatales.
También dijo que se estima que Morena cuenta con una militancia de 8 a 10 mil afiliados y que a pesar de que los estatutos indican que él podría ser refrendado en el cargo, ha decidido no competir por la dirigencia.
