HERMOSILLO, Son.- La Universidad de Sonora y la Universidad de Guantánamo, Cuba, firmaron hoy un acuerdo de colaboración en materia de intercambio y movilidad estudiantil, lo cual permitirá recibir y enviar alumnos a dicha institución cubana.

En la reunión de trabajo, el rector Heriberto Grijalva Monteverde, reiteró la disposición de la alma mater de trabajar con la Universidad de Guantánamo y desarrollar proyectos académicos que complementen la formación de los estudiantes, ya sea que los jóvenes realicen un semestre de sus estudios en Cuba o bien una estancia académica.

El estudiante universitario debe formarse integralmente, y estudiar en otro país brinda esa oportunidad, porque se conoce otra cultura y formas distintas de hacer las cosas, pero después se dan cuenta de que entre naciones somos más parecidos de lo que creemos, dijo.

Por parte de la Universidad de Guantánamo, la firma del citado acuerdo estuvo a cargo del director de Extensión Universitaria, Daniel Fernández Urgellés, quien agradeció expresó su beneplácito de que ambas instituciones signen este acuerdo, el cual contribuirá a fortalecer la formación de los docentes de dicha institución cubana en el ámbito académico, científicos y de extensión.
