La música y la ópera volverán a unir a nueve municipios de Sonora con Todos Santos, Baja California Sur; Ciudad de México, Arizona y por primera vez, Monterrey, Nuevo León en la 34 edición del Festival Internacional Alfonso Ortiz Tirado (FAOT) 2018, del 19 al 27 de enero.
HERMOSILLO, Son.- Mario Welfo Álvarez Beltrán, Director del Instituto Sonorense de Cultura de Sonora (ISC), resaltó la importancia del trabajo coordinado y transversal para realizar el FAOT 2018, gracias al cual se conformó una cartelera de alta calidad, con más de 160 propuestas artísticas y culturales de las cuales 83 son conciertos.
Además de la sede en el Pueblo Mágico de Álamos, Sonora, los sonorenses disfrutarán la cartelera artística de FAOT en Cajeme, Guaymas, Hermosillo, Huatabampo, Navojoa, Nacozari de García, Nogales y Puerto Peñasco.
Para este 2018 se realizará una inversión superior a los 20 millones de pesos en un esfuerzo importante del Gobierno del Estado y una notable aportación del sector privado con casi cinco millones de pesos; de igual forma, se cuenta con la participación de importantes fondos bipartitas en alianza con la Federación como el Fondo Regional para la Cultura y las Artes, Alas y Raíces Sonora, Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes, Programa de Apoyo a las Culturas Municipales y Comunitarias y Programa Editorial de Sonora.
El sábado 20 de enero a las 19:30 horas en el Palacio Municipal de Álamos, se entregará la Medalla Alfonso Ortiz Tirado 2018 a la reconocida soprano mexicana Rebeca Olvera, previo al concierto en el que estará acompañada por la Orquesta Filarmónica de Sonora, bajo la dirección del maestro David Hernández Bretón. También se entregarán los reconocimientos Mérito Artístico y Académico 2018, al director de orquestas y pianista Rogelio Riojas-Nolasco y Talento Joven en Canto Operístico 2018 a la soprano María Caballero, originaria de Navojoa.
Destacan en el programa la proyección de películas de la época de oro del cine mexicano, restauradas y digitalizadas por la Cineteca Nacional y la presentación de las ganadoras del programa Mi colonia tiene talento, así como de participantes de Caborca, Cajeme, Hermosillo, Magdalena de Kino, Navojoa y Nogales.
Además, el público infantil podrá disfrutar las propuestas de Teatrum Manus, Andamios Teatro, La Malanga Teatro, grupo Batuc, Rosa Vilá y Jorge Trewartha; Kikiricaja, una historia de payasos inmigrantes y el recorrido escénico musical: De la Filantropía a la canción. . . Ortiz Tirado, el médico.
El programa de culturas populares incluye la exposición permanente Una siembra incesante, con imágenes de gastronomía tradicional; venta de gastronomía, medicina tradicional, artesanías y juegos de lotería yaqui, mayo y seri; además cuatro bloques temáticos: 1) Diálogos: Entre la tradición y el patrimonio cultural inmaterial 2) Ciclo de conferencias: El patrimonio cultural en Sonora: retos y logros 3) Danza y música tradicional 4) Música popular y de fusión.
La Ruta del Arte con exposiciones de artes visuales; presentación de libros, muestra gastronómica, callejoneadas, talleres en escuelas y Caravana Cultural en colonias de Álamos, complementan la agenda artística y cultural del festival más musical del noroeste de México: FAOT Internacional 2018.
