Más de 2 mil operadores de transporte público han sido capacitados por personal del Instituto Sonorense de las Mujeres (ISM), como parte del programa de Movilidad Segura, Transporte Naranja, Mujeres Seguras, promovido por el Instituto en coordinación con la Dirección General de Transporte, para brindar mayor certeza a las sonorenses al trasladarse de un lugar a otro.
Blanca Saldaña López, coordinadora ejecutiva del ISM, destacó que con la aplicación de este programa, que fue impulsado por la gobernadora Claudia Pavlovich en el año 2016, han logrado capacitar a quienes conducen tanto camiones urbanos como taxis, lo que es requisito indispensable para que puedan renovar sus licencias de manejo.
En esta ocasión desarrollaron los temas: Prevención de violencia contra las mujeres y Género y nuevas masculinidades, a 20 choferes de Hermosillo, a quienes la funcionaria estatal dio la bienvenida y exhort estar pendiente de cualquier situación que pudiera ocurrir dentro de sus unidades, para apoyar a cualquier mujer que los necesite.
Garantizar la seguridad de las mujeres que transitan por Sonora, es una prioridad para el Gobierno del Estado, es por ello que cada vez más reforzamos el Programa de Movilidad Segura y vamos sumando a un mayor número de conductores del transporte público, tanto de taxis como de transporte urbano, y ahorita ya tenemos 2 mil 24 operadores en nuestra base de datos, de los cuales el cinco porciento son mujeres, subrayó Saldaña López.
Insistió que dar seguridad a las mujeres, las niñas y adolescentes sonorenses es indispensable, por lo que seguirán trabajando de manera transversal y en unidad para lograr el objetivo.
Vamos a continuar impulsando la cultura de prevención, atención y eliminación de conductas que violentan a las mujeres durante su movilidad en el transporte público, y promoviendo diferentes estrategias y medidas de cuidados para apoyar a preservar su integridad física y emocional, reiteró.
Este programa se aplica en los municipios de Hermosillo, Cajeme, Nogales, Navojoa, Agua Prieta, Puerto Peñasco, Guaymas y Caborca.
