En un comunicado emitido el sábado, Chosmky alertó que el centro de operaciones de la embajada de Estados Unidos en La Paz (capital boliviana) ha dejado entrever dos planes en el país suramericano: “el ‘plan A’, un golpe de Estado, y el ‘plan B’, el asesinato de Morales”, indicó.

Conforme al politólogo, la oposición boliviana prepara un golpe de Estado tras el fracaso que sufrió en los comicios del pasado 20 de octubre frente al Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS), liderado por Morales.

Tales acciones constituyen una grave violación de la Carta de las Naciones Unidas y de todas las normas internacionales, ha lamentado, antes de expresar su esperanza de que el pueblo y el Gobierno bolivianos frustren los complots en su contra.

El viernes, Morales anunció que elementos de la oposición buscan sacarlo del poder, con acciones como el reciente motín de policías en tres ciudades centrales del país. Ante tal situación, el líder indígena convocó al diálogo a los partidos políticos para “defender la democracia” y pacificar Bolivia.

No obstante, grupos de la oposición no cesaron sus planes golpistas y asediaron el mismo sábado el edificio donde funcionan la Red Patria Nueva y el canal Bolivia TV (BTV), en un intento por “acallar la prensa” para demandar la renuncia del jefe de Estado en desconocimiento de su mandato constitucional, tal y como avisa Morales.

Por su parte, la Cancillería de Bolivia ha señalado que las acciones de grupos radicales de oposición contra medios de comunicación del país constituyen una vulneración a la libertad de prensa y al derecho a la comunicación y a los principios básicos del estado de derecho.
