HERMOSILLO, Sonora.- La caza deja una derrama anual entre 20 y 30 millones de dólares en Sonora, y durante la temporada 2016-2017 se han autorizado 16 mil cintillos de cobro para 44 especies de interés cinegético, informó Marco Antonio Valenzuela Martínez, director general Forestal y Fauna de Interés Cinegético de la Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería, Recursos Hidráulicos, Pesca y Acuacultura (Sagarpa).
El funcionario estatal destacó que las especies con mayor demanda para la actual temporada cinegética son: venado cola blanca con 30 por ciento de cintillos autorizados, jabalí de collar con 25 por ciento, venado bura 17 por ciento, palomas 15 por ciento, borrego cimarrón 1 por ciento y especies exóticas 1.5 por ciento.
Entre las 44 especies de interés cinegético, 29 son nativas de Sonora y 15 son consideradas especies exóticas, como el Bisonte Americano, antílopes, ciervos, entre otros.
De los 16 mil cintillos de cobro autorizados el pasado 15 de diciembre, corresponden a 836 Unidades de Manejo para la Conservación de la Vida Silvestre (UMAs), de las poco más de mil 330 consideradas activas en el estado.
A la fecha se han expedido el 50 por ciento de los cintillos cinegéticos autorizados, los cuales representan un ingreso directo por expedición equivalente a 2 millones de pesos.
En Sonora la temporada de caza es de noviembre a febrero para mamíferos, de septiembre a febrero para aves con excepción del Guajolote Silvestre cuyo tiempo es de marzo a mayo, y las especies exóticas de septiembre a mayo.
