El director general del IMSS, Zoé Robledo, informó que el 16 de noviembre se abrirán mil 269 plazas de enfermería para Hospitales Rurales del organismo, así como 77 plazas definitivas de psicólogos para igual número de unidades hospitalarias.
El titular del IMSS destacó la creación de mil 39 plazas en el ámbito rural de forma permanente y que el Seguro Social en su Régimen Ordinario y en IMSS-Bienestar participan de manera coordinada con las secretarías de Hacienda y Salud en la compra consolidada de medicamentos y material de curación.
Citó que la ampliación de capital humano es uno de los resultados de las giras por 80 hospitales rurales de IMSS-Bienestar en 19 estados del país, ya que en algunos casos no hay ahí plantillas completas de especialistas y enfermeras.
Sobre la compensación de salarios, Robledo señaló que desde el 1 de septiembre se aplicó este cambio para los médicos especialistas en zonas rurales, al considerar la lejanía del hospital, el acceso a vías de comunicación, el índice de desarrollo humano e indicadores de seguridad en la localidad.
Robledo detalló que el programa de infraestructura y equipamiento para fortalecer IMSS-Bienestar se basa en la sustitución de dos hospitales rurales en Coahuila, la remodelación de los de San Quintín, Baja California, y Huajuapan de León, Oaxaca, así como en la ampliación de 32 hospitales y 19 servicios de urgencias.
El programa IMSS-Bienestar, especificó, se fortalecerá con la sustitución de 31 Unidades Médicas Rurales, que llevan 40 años con material prefabricado y aún operan así.
Además se crearán 23 albergues y se ampliarán ocho, lo que beneficiará a quienes se trasladan durante horas para acudir a alguna consulta médica, en su mayoría embarazadas.
