En efecto, ninguna medida es exagerada, ni ninguna precaución está de más cuando se trata de proteger la salud de los nuestros, sin embargo creo que en el caso de la crisis de salud que se vive en México y en el mundo por la pandemia de Coronavirus las cosas se han llevado al extremo, y la culpa es de la desinformación, de las fake news, los rumores y los deseos de unos y otros de medrar políticamente con tan delicado asunto.

En México el tema pasó se ser un asunto de salud pública a convertirse en un tema político, pues no faltan quienes señalan al presidente de la República por asumir lo que consideran una “actitud irresponsable”, cuando en paralelo organismos internacionales como la Organización Mundial de la Salud han reconocido el papel de México y su disposición a atender de primero la contingencia a fin de evitar que se convierta en una situación de verdadera emergencia para la salud de los mexicanos.

Evidentemente que al calor de las noticias sobre el Covid-19 han surgido versiones y rumores, propagados casualmente por quienes en todo este tiempo han manifestado una oposición virulenta e incluso facciosa al gobierno de la Cuarta Transformación, y habrá quien opine que hacen su trabajo, yo personalmente difiero, creo que en medio de una contingencia como la que se vive, los medios de comunicación tenemos la obligación de informar clara y objetivamente, no desinformar y mucho menos sembrar el pánico en la población.

El tema de la salud pública es responsabilidad de los 3 niveles de gobierno y si usted quiere en algunos casos exagerando, en otros implementando las medidas en tiempo y forma o bien poniendo el manejo de la situación en manos de los científicos y expertos, las cosas en México, y tampoco en Sonora no se han salido de control.

En este caso yo reconozco el buen trabajo que se ha hecho en Sonora, encabezado por la gobernadora Claudia Pavlovich, también los distintos municipios de nuestro estado, los alcaldes y alcaldesas han puesto manos a la obra; en el caso del gobierno federal lejos de cuestionar o criticar, creo que es de reconocer el empeño que ha tenido el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador de poner en manos de los especialistas médicos el manejo del rema y como los expertos Jorge Alcocer y Hugo López-Gatell, son quienes desde un inicio conducen todo el proceso de información  y toman las decisiones a este respecto.

Han surgido si decenas, sino es que cientos de “expertos” en epidemiología, que opinan, que divulgan tonterías, que quizá en algunos casos hasta con buena intención, pero en otros con las peores, confunden a la opinión pública y hasta exageran la nota respecto a la peligrosidad del virus.

En estos días he escuchado las teorías más descabelladas al respecto, desde que el virus flota en el aire, hasta la idea de que por el simple hecho de salir a la calle todo mundo se va a infectar, o bien que se trata de una enfermedad mortal.

En efecto no hay nada que asuste más que lo desconocido, ni situación que plantee más ansiedad que la incertidumbre, pero es importante conservar la calma, en México por más que se haya entrado este lunes en fase 2, lo que implica que ya ha contagios, la realidad es que las cosas no se han salido de control.
