En el proceso de modernización de la carretera de 4 carriles ha tomado 10 años y se han invertido 24 mil millones de pesos.
El presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador anticipó que su gobierno actuará legalmente contra las empresas que han atrasado la construcción y modernización de la carretera de 4 carriles, y aunque descartó dar a conocer los nombres de los políticos que supuestamente están involucrados en la asignación de los contratos de obra, dijo que se trata de un asunto que ya está en manos de la justicia.
En ese sentido rechazó dar los nombres de los implicados para no dar pretextos y permitir que los expedientes se integren y se investiguen de manera adecuada.
“Ya no es el debido proceso, es el debido pretexto, y por esa razón no puedo decir quienes son porque estamos procediendo legalmente”, anotó.
López Obrador insistió que la carretera no se ha podido terminar por causa de la corrupción y señaló que las empresas constructoras a cargo de los tramos han quedado mal, en especial el tramo que corre desde Imuris hasta Nogales en el segmento de las llamadas “Curvas de Quijano”.
Una de las empresas señaladas y que está a cargo del mencionado tramo es Petros y Asfaltos, que es propiedad del empresarios sonorense Uriel Vega. No obstante, la carretera fue segmentada en 24 tramos los cuales fueron asignados en 35 contratos a distintas empresas, entre ellas compañías constructoras nacionales y extranjeras que hicieron subcontrataciones de empresas radicadas en Sonora.

El presidente de la República Andrés Manuel López Obrador pidió a los manifestantes a favor del libre tránsito en Sonora entender que están obstaculizando la obtención de ingresos que son del pueblo al persistir en la toma de las casetas de cuota e impedir el cobro de los peajes respectivos.
Durante la conferencia de prensa de este lunes 17 de febrero, el presidente de la República sostuvo que ese dinero inclusive se pretende destinar a la finalización de la obra de reconstrucción de la carretera federal 15.
“Quiero que entiendan que es una forma que tiene el gobierno para obtener ingresos y terminar esa carretera que nos ha costado bastante precisamente por la corrupción”, recalcó.
El presidente consideró que el problema tiene muchas dimensiones que en efecto no se ha podido terminar la carretera por culpa de la corrupción y no necesariamente los bloqueos en las casetas, aunque reiteró el llamado a que permitan que las casetas operen de manera normal, pues se trata de ingresos que son de todos los mexicanos.
López Obrador anticipó que la próxima semana ofrecerá un reporte respecto a los ingresos de Capufe a través de la carreteras de cuota, además de que ya hay un plan para recuperar el control de esas instalaciones.
